Dear Friends:
On the eve of Winter Solstice I find myself filled with profound gratitude as I look back on the work we have accomplished together.
With so many complex challenges facing us as a species, this world and this work to protect biodiversity can be daunting. When the days are dark it’s you, dear environmental champions, who bring the light.
Working as an ‘association of association’ since the early 1990’s the SCCA has always been driven by committed advocates – fighting for the watersheds, forests, oceans, critters and community. Your love of birds and trees, frogs and bats, forage fish and salmon; your resonance with nature and dedication to protect all we hold dear, stoke the fire of inspiration needed to carry the work forward.
In the coming year the SCCA team will continue working on the important conservation projects we are leading and partnering on in the region. We will keep cultivating relationships, punching above our weight and blazing trails to make big change at the provincial level.
To all our members, supporters, allies, partners, funders and donors, we wish you all the very best over the holiday season and look forward to connecting with you in the coming year.
With warmth and light,
Suzanne Senger
Executive Director, the SCCA
