Climate Action – Community Carbon Tracking

The SCCA, is collaborating with My Sea to Sky Society to develop a project to track and report greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) in Átl'ka7tsem Howe Sound and the Sunshine Coast. 

Project goals include: 

  1. Building capacity for local governments to track and report community-wide greenhouse gas emissions annually to support evidence-based climate action planning; and 
  2. Raising community awareness about the source of greenhouse gas emissions for communities within the Howe Sound watershed; and 
  3. Identifying solutions to reduce emissions for individuals, businesses, and local governments.
