The SCCA has written a letter to the Minister of the Environment in support of an expanded park on Mount Elphinstone.
Local residents are urging the government to expand three very small protected parcels into a 1500 hectare Mount Elphinstone Provincial Park. BC Timber Sales is presently planning to log cutblock #A87124 within the proposal area.
Elphinstone Logging Focus (ELF) organized a public meeting on February 21 to discuss the proposed park.
