Congratulations to Clint and Irene Davy, who were presented with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee medals on February 5, 2013 by Mayor Wayne Rowe of Gibsons.
Clint and Irene, who were founding members of the Wildlife Rehabilitators of BC, have been running the Gibsons Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre out of their Gibsons home since 1988.
Every year they respond to hundreds of calls about injured and orphaned wildlife. They take into care birds and animals, treating their injuries and providing for their needs including feeding, watering, daily cleaning and medication, until the animals can be returned to the wild.
Volunteers are always needed, and donations are gratefully accepted. The Gibsons Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre is a registered charity.
