Attend Our Environmental All-Candidates Meeting

Tuesday, October 20, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., online via Zoom
Join the meeting on Zoom

Randene Neill (BC NDP) has confirmed she will attend. John Henderson (Conservative Party of BC) has tentatively confirmed. Griffin Leonard Lea (BC Green Party) has declined our invitation.

The SCCA has hosted environmental all-candidates meetings since 2011 so voters can hear candidates answer, in real time, the issues that matter most to this region. The meeting goes ahead with whoever shows up. Bring your questions and hold them to their answers. [A recording will be posted at thescca.ca after the meeting.]

Read the SCCA Candidate Q&A

SCCA asked every candidate six questions on the provincial decisions that shape life on the Coast: watershed protection, climate-ready infrastructure, community forests and the allowable annual cut, local tools to protect ecosystems, the Biodiversity and Ecosystem Health Act, and changes to the BC Clean Energy Act. Their answers are posted in their own words HERE. Read them side by side, because the differences tell you more than any campaign flyer.
