Robyn Schell, Board Chair
Hello Coasters, I’m the current Chair of SCCA after being on the Board for 2 years. As well as learning how to chair meetings, I volunteered to develop our fundraising strategy and to assist with grant writing.
In my former life, I was an online course developer and educational technologist at SFU while completing my doctorate in Instructional Design. Now I am retired and enjoying living in Gibsons. I am an avid sailor and love cruising about in Howe Sound and the Gulf Islands.
I joined SCCA because of the crisis we face because of climate change. I wanted to work with like minded people who care about protecting biodiversity on the Sunshine Coast where I’ve lived for over 25 years beginning with a stint in Secret Cove in 1979.
My goal is to protect the biodiversity for my granddaughters and all the other children who will follow us and choose to live on the Coast.
