Early Summer 2023 BC Bat Count

A simple way to support bats is to participate in the BC Annual Bat Count this Summer. The BC Community Bat Program is requesting colony reports and volunteer assistance for this citizen-science initiative that encourages residents to count bats at local roost sites.

Then we’ll get into a demonstration of the sampling process used by citizen scientists all along the Salish Sea to determine where these important little fish are choosing to spawn.  Bring your gumboots and curiosity for this hands-on demonstration.
