Volunteer for Forage Fish Sampling – Soames Beach February 20th
All are welcome to join our community science initiative!
Join us for our February forage fish sampling days on the Sunshine Coast.
Last month, two fish eggs were discovered during sampling at Soames Beach, a rare and exciting find that may indicate active spawning habitat. These small discoveries help us better understand and protect the coastal ecosystems that support salmon, seabirds, and marine life.
No experience is required. Volunteers will be guided through the sampling process on site. Please dress for the weather and be prepared for walking on the beach.
