Join Us in Celebrating Earth Day – April 19, 2026

From community celebrations to hands-on action, we hope you will visit our booth at the Earth Day celebration in Roberts Creek on Sunday, April 19th.

Come join us in celebrating Earth Day!

Let’s come together to celebrate this beautiful coast, connect with others who care deeply about it, and be part of the collective effort to protect it

Earth Day is more than a single day; it’s a reminder of the care, action, and responsibility we share for the place we call home. Here on the Sunshine Coast, that spirit comes to life through community-led events, local initiatives, and people coming together to care for the land and waters that sustain us.

This year, Roberts Creek is once again hosting a vibrant Earth Day celebration—and we’ll be there too.

What’s Happening in Roberts Creek

On Sunday, April 19 (11:30 AM – 5 PM), the Roberts Creek Pier will transform into a lively hub of activity for Earth Day.

The event is free and open to all, with a range of activities designed to inspire curiosity, spark conversation, and bring people together, including:

  • Local conscious exhibitors and artisans
  • Bike valet and tune-ups with TraC
  • Library book sale (12–3 PM)
  • Food and treats from local vendors
  • Kidzone activities
  • Live music throughout the day

This year’s theme explores recycling on the Coast, with a focus on circular systems and community-based solutions—an opportunity to learn, share ideas, and imagine new ways of caring for our resources together.

While you’re there, come visit the SCCA booth—we’d love to meet you.

Why Earth Day Matters Locally

While Earth Day is a global movement, its impact is deeply local.

Events like this create space for connection—not only with nature, but with each other. On the Sunshine Coast, environmental stewardship is part of who we are as a community. From grassroots efforts to regional decision-making, the actions we take here shape the future of our forests, watersheds, and marine ecosystems.

Stopping by the SCCA booth is a great way to learn more about the work happening locally—and how you can be part of it.

How to Get Involved

Whether you’re looking to volunteer, learn something new, or simply spend time outdoors with your community, there are many ways to participate:

Attend the event. Come down to the pier, explore, and enjoy a day filled with music, learning, and connection.

Visit the SCCA booth. Meet our team, learn about our work—from watershed protection to old growth and marine conservation—and find ways to get involved.

Start conversations. Connect with exhibitors and organizations, ask questions, and discover the many ways people are working to care for the coast.

Earth Day is a moment—but it’s also a catalyst. Consider how you might stay involved in environmental initiatives throughout the year—we’re always happy to help you find a way in.

The connections made, conversations started, and inspiration sparked during events like this can carry forward into lasting change for the Sunshine Coast.

If you’ve been thinking about getting involved, this is a great place to begin.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
