Give back to the SCCA this #GivingTuesday

3 December 2024

This #GivingTuesday, we invite you to support our work to protect biodiversity on the Sunshine Coast.

Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement that occurs every year after Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The goal of the movement is to help people to ‘do good in the world’.

For some, #GivingTuesday is an opportunity to offset material consumerism by giving a gift of support on behalf of someone else. For others it’s a way to help assuage climate anxiety and eco-grief, or to support important work they may not have the opportunity to engage in.

For charitable nonprofits like the SCCA, the movement provides a forum for us to share our work protecting biodiversity and raise awareness and funds within a supportive global network.

The SCCA collaborates with many other organizations on the coast and in Howe Sound to protect our forests and watersheds and fight climate change. Your donation helps the SCCA continue our essential work and extends valuable support to many other NGOs in our community.

Maintaining a stable income for a nonprofit can be challenging, as funding and grants are often unpredictable and limited. This #GivingTuesday, we’re inviting our supporters to consider signing up for monthly donations to the SCCA.

Your monthly gift, even as little as 0.1% of your income, could have a huge impact on our mission and the future of biodiversity on the Sunshine Coast.

5 Easy Ways to Give

  1. Sign up for MONTHLY DONATIONS
  2. Make a one-time TAX CHARITABLE DONATION

Your donations help the SCCA continue our essential conservation work and extend valuable support to many other groups in the community.

The SCCA collaborates with many other organizations on the Upper and Lower Sunshine Coast and within Átl’ka7tsem Howe Sound, working together to protect our forests, watersheds and marine environment and to fight climate change.

We have worked tirelessly to preserve sensitive ecosystems, species at risk, old-growth forests, and drinking watersheds for nearly 30 years. We engage with First Nations and all levels of government, and collaborate with a wide range of members, supporters, and partners to get the job done.
