SUMMARY:Last Day for FLP Public Engagement Survey
DESCRIPTION:A Forest Landscape Plan (FLP) is a new forestry planning tool. \nFLPs will play an important role in changing forest management.\nThey will replace existing Forest Stewardship Plans (FSP). This is significant as FSPs do not consider or coordinate overlapping values or interests. \nFLPs are being developed in collaboration with Indigenous governing bodies and forest licensees. Planning process includes engagement with local communities and new opportunities for public input. \nThe easiest way to get involved is through the FLP Pilot public survey.

SUMMARY:Forage Fish Sampling
DESCRIPTION:In the next few months\, join us as we sample forage fish throughout the Sunshine Coast. \nWhat are forage fish? Forage fish are super-abundant schooling fishes that are the building blocks of the food chain for 100’s of species of birds\, marine mammals\, and fishes. \nWhy do we sample them? The Friends of Forage Fish group on the Sunshine Coast collects spawning data (i.e.\, finding eggs) on the beaches of the Sunshine Coast\, to assess the population status in hopes to see positive signs of spawning.
