Protecting herring populations means safeguarding the entire coastal food web. This is your chance to make a real difference in restoring vital salmon habitat and protecting a key wildlife corridor. \nWhat to expect: \n\nPlant native species to support local ecosystems\nRemove invasive ivy to help native plants thrive\nConnect with like-minded nature lovers in our community\n\nWhat to bring: \n\nGloves\, clippers (small or large)\, and eye protection\nA strong shovel and watering can for planting\nWeather-appropriate clothing\, including rain gear and sturdy waterproof boots\n\nMeeting Point: Roberts Creek Pier/Mandala parking lot \nRoberts Creek is one of the most important spawning streams on the lower Sunshine Coast\, and this is a great opportunity to support local salmon habitat restoration.
