DESCRIPTION:In the next few months\, join us as we sample forage fish throughout the Sunshine Coast. \nWhat are forage fish? Forage fish are super-abundant schooling fishes that are the building blocks of the food chain for 100’s of species of birds\, marine mammals\, and fishes. \nWhy do we sample them? The Friends of Forage Fish group on the Sunshine Coast collects spawning data (i.e.\, finding eggs) on the beaches of the Sunshine Coast\, to assess the population status in hopes to see positive signs of spawning.
