Every year on June 8th - the United Nations' World Oceans Day -  people around the world celebrate the many ways the world's oceans benefit our lives.

That week, the SCCA hosts an annual Sunshine Coast World Oceans Day Festival, in collaboration with Rhizome UP! Media and the Green Film Series.

The festival showcases the incredible marine diversity in our local waters, raises awareness about threats to ocean health, and provides opportunities to engage in inspiring local conservation initiatives.

The Festival includes feature length films, short videos, a series of Zoom presentations called Nemo Talks, and in-person demonstrations of activities designed to preserve ocean life.
